READ THIS FIRST
This thread was not released to be a vehicle for discussion of the validity of any and all evidence for evolution. It is not for the discussion of whether any particular evidence for evolution is right or wrong. When someone offers the fossil record as foundational evidence for evolution, that is not an opportunity to point out that there are no transitional fossils.
This is thread is for discussion of why or why not any particular piece of evidence is foundational to the theory of evolution. If you'd like to discuss why or why not that evidence is valid then please propose a new thread over at [forum=-25].

Wardog25, please see Message 3. As AdminNosy indicated in Message 18, if the origin of new genetic material is what you really want to talk about then you should propose a new topic over at [forum=-25].
A caution to other participants:
The possibility exists that wardog25 is not really interested in what people believe to be the foundational evidence for the theory of evolution. I was concerned that this might be the case, so before discussion started I issued the advisory in Message 3 that this thread is not for discussion of the validity of the offered evidence, but only about whether it was truly foundational. We would never promote a thread where any and all evidences for evolution would be on the table at the same time. We try very hard to avoid such confusion here.
Based upon wardog25's Message 17 members may want to be circumspect about further participation.
Edited by Admin, : Totally new content.

Re: Things Neanderthal
Hi Archangel,
Could you please stop posting to this thread? You don't seem to be on topic. Thanks.

WarriorArchangel Suspended One Week
Hi WarriorArchangel,
I'm writing this more for the general membership than for you. They'll be something specific for you at the end.
It would be reasonable to expect moderators to engage in some give and take, that when they're asked to reconsider that sometimes they would hold fast and sometimes they would relent. But that can't really happen with many of the newer members because they refuse to follow or do not understand the simplest of instructions, and they're remarkably determined to post off-topic to any thread. If you ask them to post discussion problems to the Report Discussion Problems Here 4.0 thread, they won't do it. If you ask them to stop posting off-topic and to instead propose a new topic over at Proposed New Topics, they won't do it. If you ask them to send a PM describing their issues, they won't do it.
What they seem determined to do is just whatever they please, and so we often have to suspend them just to make it stop.
WarriorArchangel, it doesn't seem possible to have a constructive dialog with you. You don't understand moderator requests, you don't follow moderator requests, you don't understand the topic, and you don't understand that you don't understand the topic. Adminnemooseus warned you that if you posted again to this topic that you could possibly get permanently suspended. Consider yourself lucky to draw only a week.

This thread has been inactive for eight months, so with discussion for some reason resuming this would be a good time to reintroduce the parameters of discussion.
This thread is a companion thread to the Best evidence for Creation thread. Just as that thread was for creating a foundational list of the evidence for creation, this thread is for creating a list of the foundational evidence for evolution. Discussion of that evidence should not take place in this thread. Anyone wishing to discuss this evidence, it's relevance, validity, etc., should propose a new thread over at Proposed New Topics.
