Thanx dude
thats brillient dude,,, but no problems with what it means to be a sagittarian.lol
Sagittarius is the ninth sign of the Zodiac and is known to be a masculine sign that enjoys adventure and is fun loving. The symbol for Sagittarius is the archer or hunter and the centaur, which is a mythical image of a half man and half horse. This symbolizes a search for truth and knowledge, plus a constant pursuit of adventure. Sagittarius constantly seeks new ideas and is intellectual curious, however, these individuals do get bored easily and are known to become restless with dull surroundings or people.
cool dude Modulous
see i'm looking for the facts too guys and gals.

Re: 2012
quote:
the moon also effects humans too as we are 70% water.
This bit of nonsense has been around a long time. It's debunked here.
I'm not convinced that its nonsense. There's certainly some correlation between full moons and people's behavior in my experiences.
The strip clubs are way crazier late at night when there's a full moon. Batchmakers tend to make more mistakes when there's a full moon (I actually considered documenting the correlation between the mistake rate and moon phase using data from work, but I never got around to it). I remember a kid from gradeschool that had ADHD (although it wasn't called it that back then) whose behavior was worse when the moon was full (and his mother swore to it).
I can't help but apply some amount of causation to it even thought I realize its a logical fallacy.
The negligibility of the difference in a person's weight doesn't debunk it, IMHO.

Emergency Rooms
My brother is an emerg doc and, if I recall correctly, he argued that his emergency room is indeed busier at the time of a full mooon.
However, I understand that large scale samplings of both emerg rooms and obstetrics wards have been done. Done on such places where the practitioners were utterly convinced of a full moon effect and no effect whatever was present. No effect has been demonstrated anywhere even when there are lots and lots of very good records to study. (actually perhaps most just when there are lots of good records).
The simple fact that some people think there is an effect means nothing at all in demonstrating that there is one.

Just a silly question, have you seen the movie "Number 23"?
You sooooo should.
On a serious note, you claim to want to stick to "the facts", yet begin most of you comments with "It is believed...." or " said..." What people say and believe are not facts, especially when considering the caliber of the people you quote.
Edited by FN, : No reason given.
Edited by FN, : Small addition.

Welcome FN
Welcome to EvC.
A small tip: When you are replying to a specific post use the little green reply button on the lower right of the post and not the general reply button on the left.
This links your reply to the post you are replying to and also (if the individual asked for them) sends an email to the person you are replying too.
This makes it easier for everyone to follow the thread of the conversation.

When's the next swan for Valhalla?
jjp writes:
it also just happens to be the digits of my birth-date, 20th of the 12th =2012? and then in the year 2012 my birthdays full date with be 20'12/2012. thats scary as the primary date for all these apocoliptic cries is the day after my birthday.
There being almost 365 million people in the US, there are almost 1,000,000 people with that particular birth date (in the US. Almost 20,000,000 worldwide.) So, at first glance that would seem to be a very common phenomenon. But what is really remarkable about this group is that at least 93.7% of them are Sagittarians! (Whereas in any randomly selected group of people you would expect to find only about 8.5% of them are Sagittarians.) Now, if one of those 1,000,000 people should have the name Maya - or even better - Maya N. Calender, then I think you will have found the Goddess who will rule over the Great New Age.
And for all you skeptics who are crying bull*hi*, JJP reminds us in post 13:
...especially when you take into account the planetary alignment in may 5th 2000 and this new age of aquarius which some call the great age.
and that 2000 is the year the George W. Bush became president and ushered in a new era of peace and well being for all of mankind.
The really interesting question that can be addressed with some simple observations is: When Great Sky Wolf swallows up the moon (during what scientists like to call a "lunar eclipse"), do the tides recede, to return as soon as GSW spits the moon out again. Several noted astronomers are organizing an expedition to Miami Beach to await such an event and measure the tidal response.

Hi AIG,
Great post. I got a 1/4 of the way through before the sarcasm smacked me in the face. LOL I thought you were serious! I should have know better, being that I tell jokes for a living.

This made me laugh my ass off sir
