If all dogs descended from the two dogs on Noah's Ark, then how can there be so many breeds?
The standard bullshit YEC answer is that the original "kinds" had extremely large amounts of genetic variability built into their genome.

soon I discovered that this rock thing was true
Jerry Lee Lewis was the devil
Jesus was an architect previous to his career as a prophet
All of a sudden i found myself in love with the world
And so there was only one thing I could do
Was ding a ding dang my dang along ling long - Jesus Built my Hotrod Ministry

Live every week like it's Shark Week! - Tracey Jordan
Just a monkey in a long line of kings. - Matthew Good
If "elitist" just means "not the dumbest motherfucker in the room", I'll be an elitist! - Get Your War On
*not an actual doctor

it simply follows directly from graft2vine's statement.
That was not my statement. I was summarizing from the AiG article. Still, I assume they mean "kind" is equivalent for biological family in some cases, but not for humans.
I don't agree with that, but believe kind is essentially the same as species. They are defined differently but the result is the same.

4. Dinosaurs were on board, so another 12 to 24 dinosaur genera were included.
12 to 24 seems a bit small. That'd put kind well above the familial level, since at my last count there were some 50-odd dinosaur families, excluding birds.

remember though, Back then a kind of animal was just a kind of animal. they didnt have all these fancy filing systems for species class and family and so on. a bear was a bear and humans weren't even considered animals as they believed as some still do that we were made in Gods image and are above animals. People dont count.

What?
Sorry to disappoint True Believer but I haven't studied the topic and am content to leave it to all of you to argue about this.
I would rather hear how random mutation and natural selection could possibly be as creative as it is credited with being. Now that would be a story that would make Noah pale in comparison.

A large genome for a creature that isn't expected to display such a complex level of variation, unexpectedly so, even "paradoxical" and "very surprising".....where have I seen evidence of this before?
just a thought
