Biblical Antichrist
The antichrist does not speak out of the Bible. The Bible, both Old Testament and New Testament prophesy about him relative to what the Bible refers to as the latter days as per messianic eschatology/prophecy.
There are a number of terms pertaining to the end time antichrist, such as "little horn" in Daniel 7, "beast" (two horned) in Revelation 13, "man of sin" II Thessalonians 2:3, "antichrist" I John 2 18-23 and "false prophet" Revelation 19:20, 20:10.
Note in the Daniel texts as well as the Revelation account the antichrist prevails against the saints of God and "wears them out," i.e tribulation/persecution of Christians.
The Revelation text has the antichrist/false prophet cast into the lake of fire where Satan the devil also ends up as per Revelation 20:10. So ends the phenomena of evil in the universe.
The antichrist works in conjunction with and by the power of Satan. Thus he will hate Israel and Christianity. He will work to destroy Israel as per Revelation 12,13 and to fight the Christians/saints as per Revelation 13. His MO of killing will be beheading as per Revelation 20. He will have political power worldwide as per Revelation and Daniel. The nations which he uses to fight Israel in the latter days are listed in Ezekiel 38 as well as other OT prophets.
He will stand in the "holy place" which is the Temple Mount where now stands the Dome of the Rock, Islamic holy place. Matthew 24:15
Here he is refered to by Jesus as the abomination of desolation. This one is also refenced in the Old Testament Daniel 9:27 text as the "one who makes desolate."
Go figure! As the old saying goes, if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and flaps it's wings like a duck, it likely is a duck.

Re: Biblical Antichrist
Now that I've established that your quote was not antichrist, I'll address the quote which you see as problematic.
The nation of Israel to whom the commandments were given exclusively was to eventually be a messianic kingdom of God on earth. Thus rigourous rules were imposed upon them by God for their own good and longevity so as to survive as a nation down through the centuries.
This meant that rebellion within the families must be forbidden. It worked. The death penalty kept the families strong and morality for the most part remained intact. Rebellion was rare and though there were times of rebellion including national rebellion etc the rigorous rules did help keep the nation alive as a messianic nation. Thus the Jewish people though scattered worldwide kept their identity so as to return for the 2nd advent of the messiah Jesus to rule.

Re: Biblical Antichrist
The Hebrew language has far fewer words than the English. My understanding is that the same word is used for capital punishment as for murder. The context determines the type of killing being addressed.
The context of the Ten Commandments would be the equivalent in English to "You shall not murder." This is logical and sensible, given God commanded the killing of sacrificial animals etc.

Re: Biblical Antichrist
Did you even read what I said? Why don't you address that?

OT NT
He didn't say that at all. He was introducing a new dispensation/era where the law was to be fulfilled by the indwelling Holy Spirit, i.e. his spirit.

Re: Biblical Antichrist
Well then address those semantics as you expect us to address the semantics of your OP. What about it? Can you refute that the word "murder" perse is not in the Hebrew text and that in the Hebrew context makes up for the vocabulary of few words relative to the English?

Re: Biblical Antichrist
Words like justice, evil, protection and punishment become revelant to this discussion. The survival of cultures requires defensive action against the forces of evil within the cultures.
