I read both Christ and the Antichrist in my KJ Bible. Do you?

No. I read neither Christ nor Anti-Christ in the Old Testament. I read precious little Anti-Christ in the New Testament either. Neither. The Bible is a book written by men. They got a lot of it wrong.

No. I think they got it wrong for the wrong reasons. They were trying to push their own agenda. The term "Antichrist" has been so abused by the end-times nuts that it's practically meaningless.A lot of the Old Testament is counter to what Jesus taught. We have to use our own minds to figure out which parts make sense and which don't. I don't think there's anything to be gained by pretending that the really idiotic parts of the Bible were purposely idiotic to teach us a lesson.

Of course I wouldn't endorse it.But the topic is about the source of the quote.I'm saying it isn't Christ or Antichrist. It's purely human.

No.You can see from the responses of Buzsaw and ICANT that people do take that passage and others like it seriously. It would have been irresponsible of the Bible writers/compilers to include such absurdity "just to activate debate" when they should have known some people would take it in the stupidest possible way.The more reasonable conclusion is that they meant it in the stupidest possible way.They meant what they said, so everything they said has to be scrutinized even more closely. But there's no reason to think they wanted us to scutinize them more closely.

I think that's where you go wrong. The people who wrote the Bible weren't necessarily "the experts of the time". They were just some guys who decided to write something down. Their stupider ideas weren't put there for some lofty reason.As I said before, it would have been irresponsible of them to write such stupid instructions to "make us think". Somebody like you might get the point, but others just follow the stupidest of instructions without a thought in the world.
