you're not really being very clear, but i guess i understand what you're saying.i have decided that it is nothing more than a group of writings by or of people who had a relationship with god. like anyone else with a relationship with god, they may or may not be righteous in their actions and commands. it's not a message from god, so much as a message about him. you choose the words you follow. but people do that anyways while thinking it's a message from god, so it doesn't really change anything.

what i meant is that thinking the bible comes from god and thinking the bible comes from men who knew god doesn't make any practical difference when people pick and choose now. picking and choosing when it doesn't come directly from god doesn't make any difference. it's not the belief that doesn't make an impact, it's the process of the origination of the text that doesn't make an impact.believing that the bible is not the direct and flawless word of god does not require a lack of belief in god.
