I have seen a number of threads that deviate off into discussions of definitions of terminology. I have been thinking that maybe to have a thread dedicated to those discussions of terminology and definitions might be handy, I have seen it cover everything from the definitions of 'kinds' to 'evolution' and now 'chaos'. I would like to start with one thrown around often enough here, 'neo-Darwinism'. How many of the people who use it, thinking it to be term that is derogatory in nature, would have to look up the difference from standard 'Darwinism'?
Not sure its a totally promotable topic, or where it would even belong.

Maybe you should put your preamble about a thread specifically for discussing various definitions in as a suggestion to the [forum=-19]forum. As for a thread specifically discussing a definition for Neo-darwinism I think could be productive but you would need a new OP fleshing out the question a bit and ideally adding your own thoughts on a suitable definition.
