Main Point
The bulk of your post deals with tolerance and intolerance in relation to Jesus, but your title and the final question do not.
I'm not inclined to promote this topic as written. I don't see the hullaballoo issue a viable discussion. Too broad.
What exactly are you wishing to discuss?

Re: Inconsistent bible interpretations
Inconsistencies and conflict in the Bible is a very wide subject, hence the Accuracy and Inerrancy thread.
I found the post that contained the questions you listed. It is Message 291 in the "What you want to know about Christ." thread. It was a thread set up for asking questions.
I don't see that the questions asked by the poster were in support of intolerance as opposed to questions about what Jesus taught concerning intolerance. You might want to read their previous posts.
Do you want to discuss what the NT presents as Jesus' position concerning intolerance in various circumstances?
I don't feel we need another thread concerning homosexuality specifically.
Do you want to find answers for and discuss these questions concerning intolerance? If yes, the OP needs to be revamped to make that intent clear.

Re: Inconsistent bible interpretations
Now I understand your general idea. Unfortunately we don't have a clear OP to start a rousing debate. Too many varying questions.
An opening post should consist of the topic question or statement being considered and the poster's own position concerning the subject. Some background information on the topic question is also good when the question could be perceived several ways.
I'm not inclined to promote this topic as written.
Let me know if you want to rework the OP
