Seriously, PD.
They say "isolate and purify" not "or".
Isolate and isolate or purify and purify or isolate and purify mean the same thing.
Isolate = remove contaminants
Purify = remove contaminants
You are on thin ice here.
Show me how "isolate" and "purify" are two different things.
Vitamin C, isolated and purifed from an orange, is not synthetic.

How it something "changed" if it is simply separated from contaminants?
And I can't "show" you "natural" vitamin C when you continue to insist that if I obtain vitamin C from an orange, it's synthetic vitamin C because I've isolated and purified it!
The properties of drinking water is "changed" when separated from contaminants. So are the properties of milk, vegetables and other foods when cooked and processed. The beneficial enzymes which enhance digestion are no longer alive and functioning. Try to make good wine out of pasturized grape juice. LOL.
When you isolate vitamine C from an orange, properties which are in the orange which are missing in the isolated C are missing. Our "Solu C" Maximum Living C vites have some properties combined in the suppliment so as to make the C more effective for greater antioxidant potential. These are 1000 MGs of vitamin C as calcium absorbate, escorbyl palmitate, magnesium ascorbate, zinc ascorbate, and rosehips. They contain 100 MGs of bioflavinoids from lemon, grape and citris skins/rinds, 50MG of rutin from buckwheat and 50 MG of green tea from camellia sinesis leaf. I suppose the reason for all this is to make the suppliment more of a concentrate of some of the properties in the orange so as to increase the antioxident capability of the suppliment.
This is how a good reputable suppliment source is often superior to some of the cheap over the counter products you find in the stores.

Natural Substances and Patents
Again that terminology is from the Patent Office. Argue with them.
If they truly mean the same thing, then stating that something is isolated and purified is redundant.
Timeline of Physiology - Endocrinology & Metabolism
1920-30s Researchers isolate and purify testosterone, the primary male hormone.
1970s Roger Guillemin and Andrew Schally isolate and purify a wide array of peptide hormones (“releasing factors”) from a part of the brain called the hypothalamus that control hormone-producing glands, including Thyroid Releasing Factor (TRF) and Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH). They win the 1977 Nobel Prize for this discovery and open new avenues of research into how the brain and hormones work.
