Re: Can I tell the truth, Jesus?
Photo ID, eh?
Jesus was born way before the invention of the camera. He has probably had His image drawn up more than the other 3 combined, but so far hasn't snuck back to earth for a photo. Very convenient, all this being born before cameras stuff.
I don't know whether Sophia and Loki were ever 'born' but they are still way too ancient for photos. Maybe they have more to fear from the camera; it might steal their spirit?
So that leaves the Spaghetti Monster. An infant in terms of eternity. Definitely young enough to have seen a camera. Only problem is, how DO you get an urban legend to pose?

Next Question
So I ask; which one of you receives the most attention?
Jesus says 'I believe I do'. 'See, all day and all night people fight over Me. The conversations are strange and often the subject seems to be appropiate housing for Me.' Here's an example;
Jesus lives in ME!
No, He can't. He lives in ME!
How do you know? How can I tell if He lives in ME?
If Jesus lived in you, you would recognize Him...
BUT HE DOES, AND I DO!!!!!!
No, that is Satan.
How do you know?
Well, I saw him in the window and his beard was longer than Jesus' is. Jesus has a short beard, and I know FOR SURE because He lives with ME!!!!!!!

We can replace him with another Urban Legend...Slim Shady himself.

like your denial that sin is a separate concept from "right and wrong"
Kuresu, I am going to have to agree with Rob about this. If you believe in sin, you call wrong 'sin'. Otherwise, you just call wrong wrong. The problem is, there are times when wrong/sin doesn't mean 'you are hurting someone' but means 'you are hurting God'. If we don't all believe in God, or even the same God, well, it might be a sin for someone to skip church, but to anyone else it's not even wrong. That is why when it comes to homosexual marriage, there is a need to seperate the ideas, because one person's idea of 'sin' does not mean that anyone else even sees 'wrong'. Other things, where we see obscene wrong, like murder, are sins, and wrong.

kuresu writes:
why am I ashamed of sin, when its a concept I don't believe in?
Are you ashamed when you do something wrong? Have you ever felt a tiny bit of guilt about anything? I hope you have. Remorse is a very redeeming emotion. If you have not ever felt it, then you are exempt, and unusual. Most of us have hurt someone and felt guilty at least once before. If you have, you have felt shame at your 'sin'.
no wonder christianity can seem so depraved--you all don't learn from your mistakes, because you don't have to pay the consequences because of the death of your prophet 2,000 years ago!
You don't believe that now do you? That christians somehow get off the hook, while everyone else is screwed? Do you think all christians get to 'heaven' and all good people of other faiths go to 'hell'? The same rules apply to all of us; we must follow our conscience, if we do 'wrong' make amends and improve. If there is a Christ who came from God, He got EVERYONE off the hook, which DOES NOT mean a free pass to anyone who says 'I love Jesus' and continues to do 'wrong'.
If Hovind is labouring under that delusion as well, then you are two peas in a pod. He isn't guaranteed anything either, without 'good' actions. And here your beloved example of 'sin' vs 'right and wrong' comes into play. The man definitely did something wrong, a crime. Did he sin? How the heck do I know? That is between him, and God.
As to questioning; you seem to parrot the ideas of many here. I would like you to speak in your own words as well. Don't worry about the Kent Hovinds out there. Go google Mother Teresa, Father Miguel Pro, or Damien deVeuster.

No, sorry, I meant you copy what others here have said. You still throw in a healthy dose of personal prose, so just ignore me.
And no, sorry again, I don't think you have similar ideas to the people I mentioned. If I hear you have suddenly purchased a one-way ticket to a leper colony I will reconsider.

To be honest, this thread is not flowing in an orderly court-room fashion. Some would-be gods are getting more attention than others. I vote to eliminate the Purple Flying Spaghetti Monster thing, unless he has a reason for being here, and possibly Sophia since she seems to be swallowed up by many other gods. I would replace with Mother Earth, Gaia, or some similar entity.

Do you mean, 'minor god', and if so, do you mean lesser, or underaged?
Do your followers happen to call you 'Jehova'?
I have detected some of that flavour in your posting at the provided link.
First, you say Jesus, God, may have 'gotten the timing wrong' for the end times.
Is that because you do not consider Him God, but a 'minor God' as the JW's do?
Second, this idea of the end-times being wonderful (for christians) is especially savoring of their theology, in which good people will rule the earth during some end-time. I do believe Jesus was warning us rather than getting us excited, but that's just me.

There was no fall. It was a glorious departure into adventure following mans nature just as God intended. Not the easy path of languishing in the garden getting fat and staying un-educated. You are correct in saying that the fall was permanent,
I think the good people at EvC would rather enjoy a discourse full of such self-contradictory statements Btw, what king of mining do you do?

Ok, that works and is rather cute. I did not mean to judge you.
I have no proclaimed followers.
Of course, I did not mean you yourself, only you were speaking in the person of a god.
What I wanted to know is whether you have any religious affiliations.
As to contradictions, you seem full of them.
Jesus is the leader in all of this.
Jesus was a prophet possibly the last and best
Or He was wrong
This was a claim made by Jesus and is unprovable
resurrection here on earth which is something I have a problem with.`
He called himself the son of God.
the success of Jesus
He also forecasted the arrival of God.
What is Jesus' success if He was killed and did not rise?
What kind of prophet is He if you only believe half of what He says?
Is He your leader, or can you do better?
