I don't see what "allowing evolution" has got to do with "love."
Probably the same as Flooding the Earth has to do with love.
...or ordering the killing of every man, woman, child and livestock of a conquered city.
If we are falsifying a Biblical Creation, am I to assume it is the "literal" creation specified in Genesis? One can believe that the Biblical God created the universe, as is stated several other places in the Bible, without believing that He used the exact method stated in Genesis.

Re: Not sure what you are asking here.
The idea of a god/gods or a higher power seems to be a relatively world wide phenomenon in one form or another. These ideas had to originate somewhere and be seen as valuable.
Parents
(and I mean that in more than one way)

A redefinition
Bible literism has come up a few times as a belife and source, and i think this needs a slight push. Even the most hardcore believers admit that the bible was written and created by men, and that hundreds of different books were written untill the ones that we have today were chosen at the council of nicea in 325. Even if tGod had told his disciples HOW he created the universe, it would still be heresay, not to mention that his disciples would PROBOBLY SAY that they were dictating from the mouth of god as this is not a small thing. In other words? The bible is written by humanity, for Huimanity. It is not necesarily true, and is certanly not a fax from heaven.
Secondly, and correct me if i am wrong, but is not the oldest recovered bible that we have from the 1300's? im not bothered to look up sources but i will later. a lot can happen in 1300 years.
The point simply surmising that any reason to beleive in things that cannot be seen or proven is not resulting in any way from the word of god.

-I believe in God, I just call it Nature
-One man with an imaginary friend is insane. a Million men with an imaginary friend is a religion.
-People must often be reminded that the bible did not arrive as a fax from heaven; it was written by men.
-Religion is the opiate of the masses

Warning - Topic
If you are going to revive this topic, please keep your posts relative to the topic presented in Message 1.
I would like to explore the notion that apart from the 'evidence' of religious texts there is little if any compelling reason to conclude a divine creator should be implicated in earths' history and as such little reason to indulge in Creationism.
Can anyone propose a way to falsify the theory that the world was purposefully created. What test could we use to examine whether the planet we live on was created or formed without guidance?
