Re: Crashfrog's [msg=-5,-562,-170] of Thread [thread=-5,-562]
Seconded.
I knew some of the pieces, but I could not have constructed such a coherent narrative. Thanks, Crash, for improving my understanding.

Thanks, guys. But I wasn't clear that some of that was just my own speculation. I don't know for sure that's the cause of Faith's color perception. But my speculation is reasonable, I think.

Crashfrog: just a minor correction...
I second that nomination too. A very clear story, with an amusing metaphor. There's just one tiny little thing Crashfrog might want to correct, though.
Your father got the X chromosome from your his mother with the bad gene.
Sorry to spoil the party. Carry on.

Did you know that most of the time your computer is doing nothing? What if you could make it do something really useful? Like helping scientists understand diseases? Your computer could even be instrumental in finding a cure for HIV/AIDS. Wouldn't that be something? If you agree, then join World Community Grid now and download a simple, free tool that lets you and your computer do your share in helping humanity. After all, you are part of it, so why not take part in it?

Purple Youko for putting a nit to bed

Purple Youko puts the residual C14 question to bed. Of course, that's not going to stop it from getting out of bed again and again but it's nice to have all the hard work done for us.
Thanks Purp.

Thread: The word Man is inherently confusing/sexist? Oh the huMANity!
Post: Message 7
Very nice writing style, reasonable tone, great message, and directly on-topic. Beautiful.
Cheers.

Re: Archer Opterix in thread "The word Man is inherently confusing/sexist?"
I'll second that. Archer seems to be a plainspoken and even-keeled writer. I'm finding I like A's posts as much as I do Omniverous's (or Faith's in clarity).

RAZD for a lot of work
Message 1
I don't think OP's get nominated very often.
RAZD carefull examines the information given by Sumer and goes to a lot of effort to get it right.

You're right, I read it again and take it back ...
kidding of course
I just got in from kayaking along Narragansett Bay and I was thinking about your essay while I was out there, close to freedom, one with the waves ... (continued in response to your essay)
Your writting has always been good, just because we've disagreed on some topics doesn't mean I don't like what you write. You tend to the philosophical, especially when you talk about transcendance ...
Enjoy.
