Re: Is Bush merely chronically amnesiac?
I hope you don’t get the impression that all military folk are right winged loonies, cuz we’re not. Being a patriot and serving your country doesn’t mean you have to be ultra conservative...not that I blame you, that is a stereo type that gets attached to the military all too often. And as far as Bush goes, he’s definitely one dumb fuck, even more so then Reagan and Reagan had Alzheimer, probably for most of his presidency.
Oh and by the way, a jarhead is a marine; fort Bragg is an army base.

Re: Is Bush merely chronically amnesiac?
No Schraf I'm not a jarhead. And you say I get pummeled with facts, but when I post facts you seem to simply ignore them or attempt to poke fun at me. Which is fine.
Holmes: That's pretty close. However, unlike the mainstream media the Psyops guys and gals simply don't make up news (Bush being AWOL), instead, they simply disperse truthful information to counter propoganda. An example would be publishing articles in Iraqi papers about schools/hospitals/power/water plants that coalition forces have built/rebuilt. I'm not in that world though. I'm an Intelligence Analyst. I'm sure you'll poke endless fun at me now that you know my job. Lookin forward to it!
My assessment of the political views of the military is that it is as diverse as the US populations views on politics. Many are conservative, but there are many liberals too.

Re: Is Bush merely chronically amnesiac?
Yes, and I don’t think there are a lot of people who have served in the military on this board...so when there is one on this board who is ultra conservative with the same god, country, family, mantra and in total support of Bush and the republican party regardless of how many times he shows what a retard he is, then I think that feeds into the stereotype of the military...hence schraf calling you a jarhead.

Right.
Oh, and there are several people here who have served in the military.
By the way, what is the Army equivalent to calling someone a "jarhead"? (thanks for the correction)

Re: Is Bush merely chronically amnesiac?
There are many terms, grunt for the infantry, I’ve been called a bullet sponge by friends in the navy . .so I guess it depends . there are so many different jobs in the army, there usually isn’t one specific name, unlike the marines that have such a limited job description.
Really, I wonder who, I wonder how many have served are conservative or liberal on this board?

I believe that Purple Dawn was a marine; I'm not sure of her political identification; certainly far to the left of Tal.

Oops. This was meant to be a response to post # 200 by MUTTY6969, specifically his query:

They're not ignored; they just get lost in all of the nonsense in your posts.

Re: Is Bush merely chronically amnesiac?
Then you are savvy enough to catch them, but dodge responding to them. Instead I get the usual "my 9th grade X can outspell you" come-back. While entertaining to read, it doesn't address the point.

Re: Is Bush merely chronically amnesiac?
Wow, after reading some on this thread I can’t believe you are seriously defending bush...I mean it is one thing to have a certain political ideology and another to defend someone that blatantly incompetent.
