Re: Bump: Editing by AdminPhat
It so happens that prism_tempest is a personal friend of mine, the editing was merely to clear up a couple of spelling mistakes and highlight the quote he provided.
I can understand your intellectual need to "police" administrators, but you really should get all of your facts straight before doing so, Parasomnium!

Re: Bump: Editing by AdminPhat
I have no such need and I am sorry if I have offended you, Phat. I just wanted to know what was going on, that's all.
P.S. I don't understand what you mean about getting my facts straight.

Annotated edits are how we keep the facts straight. That's what he was asking for, if you'll notice.

One big happy
OK, Parasomnium, Im sorry! I was offended that you questioned me, but perhaps I DID need to add by edit in order to clarify my intent. You guys had no way of knowing that I knew Prism!
Very well, lets carry on, shall we?

sorry. 'i let the devil do it' is a cop out. if everything that happens on earth is god's will, then god did it no matter who actually did the dirty work. ok so god hired a hit man. he would still be guilty.
stop making my god into a cop out. bad is only bad to you.

Re: Some audio commentary about 9/11 and Christianity
Well, this item has gotten somewhat buried by a moderation issue squable.
I have tracked down a little bio information on Wayne & Liz at the wfmu.org website. The location includes MP3 downloads for 9 of their tunes, including the previously mentioned "9/11 Warning".
"9/11 Warning" has struck me as being a potent alternative to the Falwell perspective, and to other perspectives. Do they hit upon the real reason OBL targeted the World Trade Center? Well, maybe...

Added by edit - Direct link to "9/11 Warning" MP3
Added by second edit - Repeating, from message 12, a RealAudio link to the same audio, for the bandwidth impared such as myself. At my home ISP, it would take me something like 45 minutes to download the MP3 version. The RP version:

    Re: pagan point of view
Welcome, Prism_tempest! I look forward to hearing more from you. My own point of view is strongly pagan and shaman inflected.

    thats it.
Is there a citation to back up the claim that that's the "only rule" true pagans follow?

Sulphur already rains down from the sky:
    link
    (bold added by me)
Scientists discovered, and have confirmed, that sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) are the primary causes of acid rain. In the US, About 2/3 of all SO2 and 1/4 of all NOx comes from electric power generation that relies on burning fossil fuels like coal.

So, why did God let Satan do it? God IS more powerful than Satan, right??
A good example of this, is the story of Job.
I would say that by allowing Satan to do anything, is how he defeats Satan. Satan is actually thinking that he will draw people away from God, but I think that in the long run, all things point to God, even what we call bad.
The only free will we have is to choose whether it is from Him or not.
note: this is my current opinion.
