I have a weird phobia about hot springs. I refuse to go in them because all I picture is 'human soup.' To think about all those unknown 'floaties' totally creeps me out.

Having trouble with chat

I can't seem to get it to work for me now. Haven't had any problems before, so i'm not sure what's going on. Any ideas?

It says that the java applet is loading, then it's done, but all that shows up is a blank, gray screen where the chat should be.

I'm getting exactly the same. Usually my problems begin before the applet starts loading. This must be a problem with the chat facility, rather than users' puters or their ISPs.

I tried, and succeeded. I'm on chat now, with nobody to chat to.

It did seem to take a little longer than usual to start up, but it did start.

What version of Java are you using? Which browser? What type of a connection?

It's the latest java as far as I know. I downloaded it from the chat page when I first decided to go in. I'm using an ethernet connection, as well as wireless. My browser of choice is mozilla firefox.

Ran it and left it alone. After about an hour, it started to work. It lagged terribly and just froze. I don't know what the problem is. =/
