Is there a good, recent book that details the above?
I'm after something that describes genetic material, chromosomes, genes, alleles, etc.
Describes meiosis & mitosis, plus all types of mutation.
Finally, describes how the whole shebang fits together in a description of population genetics, a toughy, I'm told, but I'm willing to give it a bash.
A tall order, I know, if no such book exists, could you recommend two that cover the topics?
I'm a Brit. educated to A level standard (18 years, unfortunately no longer 18
) in Biology, chemistry & physics, so, though I'm not stupid, a gentle intro would be nice!
Thanks in advance for any replies,
Mark
