and i am supposed to listen to "bible experts" what kind of vague statment is that. i thought this siite was about having validity? but i'm told why don't you listen to the "bible experts". to me a "bible expert" is a mythological creature. i am told there is evidence against my opinion, yet i don't see any, i am told that MY OPINION is not what the experts say or agree with. this is all a bunch of nonesense.here i'll turn it back on you guys and let's see how it stands up: you guys are inccorrect there are many bible experts that say so and there is lots of evidence.ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
i am sooooo convinced since someone wrote it and it is in text. i have an opinion i was wondering yours? but since all i get in response is rebuttles without one spec of validity i see i am just wasting my time.this site is one big oxymoron

EvC Forum is a strongly scientifically oriented discussion site that hosts the Creation/evolution debate, and many of the evolutionist members have strong science backgrounds including university degrees up to PhD and years of experience in industry. They sometimes exhibit little tolerance for what to them seem half-baked ideas, but if you're able to support your proposals with evidence (as required by the Forum Guidelines) I'm sure you'll do fine.

EvC Forum was created to provide a venue for debating the claim that Creationism is as scientific as evolution. There are a variety of forums here for all aspects of the debate, but the science forums are intended to approach the issues from the perspective of science. Many members have strong science backgrounds, but the site isn't biased toward scientists. Moderators enforce the Forum Guidelines, which are neutral with respect to viewpoint. I don't think I said anything about non-science related degrees. But many members have undergraduate degrees, and a fair number also have graduate degrees ranging up to PhD, and there are some post-docs here as well.

there's a difference between bible experts and fundies. fundies tend to think they know what the bible says when, in fact, they haven't a clue.

(rendered the way the hebrew renders it) what are "filth" and "water" talking about?these are things called euphemisms. they don't translate very well. imagine trying to explain the process of "taking a dump" or "screwing" or "powdering your nose" in another language. would you translate it literally? what would it mean if you did?

in this case, you have to understand the parallelism. the first line says something, and second line mirrors it. standard hebrew poetry format. sometimes it's even synonymous. number always go up by one. left is always paired with right. heaven with earth, oceans with rivers, etc. it's pretty easy to catch on, just look for it. (half of the prose is even written this way).the second half contains a known euphemism: stones. this is actually a kjv english euphemistic rendering of what the verse actually says: thigh or loin. but we know because of all the other verses (including two i posted above) that in many cases, thigh or loin means testicle.it's talking about virility; sexual prowess. and look what testicle is paired with: tail.now, assuming you're a male, what would you pair your testicles with? now, what do you think tail means?

Heres a novel idea why don't you try to prove scripture with scripture, for instance:Job 40:17

He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.I'm not sure about the cedar part but now gee isn't the meaning of stones atleast self explanatory now

you mean like i did above? i just mentioned an earlier law regarding testicles, and an even earlier usage of testification. "tail" is paralleled with "stones." what do you associate with testicles?
