I had posted a couple of messages in the Coffee House, and not liking a few emotional statements I made (very short ones) I decided to edit them.

On the first edit I was informed that the post was not being allowed because "it appears" that I am "hacking the subject".
​
I am not sure why I am getting that error message, or why I cannot edit my post.
​
Any help would be appreciated.

If you are wanting to retract the 'bigot' statement, then I retract the 'stupid' statement. I don't regard you as stupid; I never have. I just think your opinion on this matter is stupid. You apparently think my opinion is bigoted. I can live with that.

Looks like we are cross posting. Yes I was trying to retract the bigot statement.

As far as I can tell I can reply but not edit in that thread. I think I will try to edit in some other thread, just to test it out.

I had that same problem about a week ago in another thread. It wasn't particularly important so I just gave up. Perhaps I should have mentioned it, but now that you have mentioned it Percy will at least know that the problem exists.

Just to let you know it seems to be restricted to the coffee house. Definitely that one thread has a problem. I tested a thread in another forum area and had no problem, then test edited another thread in the Coffee House and couldn't get anything to happen (not even an error message).

Not sure if this'll help with the troubleshooting, but I figured I should poke around and see if I could find the "edges" of the problem.
