Lol ya they probably are overrun with those "evil, atheistic, devil evolutionists." But ya I genuinely don't want to go into a creationist forum to debate and debunk them, but to just see what its like. Though it would be fun

You don't have to go that far. I'm all yours if you want a debate

I guess senility sets in much earlier in life for our British counterparts

Re: Some sites
Your posts contains this quote and link:

Here's an interesting story about a (former? where did it go?)Creationist forum. Apparantly they can be a bit censorship-happy.
Account Suspended
The story in the link mentions a "Fred Williams"
If you go to Msg ten, you can see it mentions the evolution fairytale discussion board:
quote:
Montag, you can find a creation forum here at Evolution Fairytale Discussion Board It doesn’t look like they sensor people YET, so hurry up, join and well... enjoy.
  —msg10
A quick examination of that board, reveals that it is set up by...."fred Williams".
This person seem to be know to Asgara as evidenced by her message 11:
quote:
Sending him to a Fred Williams Forum is just down right mean

Re: Some sites
As for my post, do a members search by the user name Fred Williams. He is well known to the EvC forum.

Forum
Here is a Christian forum I frequently check. They are quite fundemental, at least in my opinion. They scare me sometimes.

I spent a little bit of time on; theologyweb.com and christianforums.com
I believe both of them have sections for science and/or EvC. They certainly aren't dominated by YEC's, but there are more there than most.
Have fun..

Re: Evolution Fairytale...blah..blah..blah
Evolution Fairytale was Fred's homepage name. Seems some of the good ol' boys have made his new board their hangout, including John Paul. There are some decent discussion topics on there (I like the Venus fly trap question, for instance), but the discussions seem to devlove rapidly into he-said, she-said and accusations of failure to support assertions. I'd like to see some of the creos on that forum come over here to attempt the same nonsense.
Kudos to SLP for hanging out over there, although his presence there has probably more to do with Fred than interest in what must seem like fairly simplistic discussions.

Hmmm. Not really, my friend. Although age is starting to blur memories to a great extent (early senility?), I seem to remember my introduction to EvC came from IIDB. I've never participated in any Yahoo evc type boards. In fact, my introduction to IIDB itself came from a conservative political discussion board - Capitol Hill Blue - and I've never looked back.
Of course, given that my brain is turning to mush, I could have the whole thing wrong...

...ok nevermind. Maybe I had a brainfart
...but I still recall that that was how it was :\.
I remember the chatroom was either 'Christians vs. Athiests', or 'Evolution is a fact'. Oh well.

No biggie. I'd be interested if you find another Quetzal posting somewhere (not an impossibility). Until I came here, my pseudonym on all boards was Morpho (as in Morpho peleides, my favorite Lepidopteran).
