The thread wasn't closed down by your post. It was closed down by a series of off-topic comments. Your post, however, was the trigger.
I'm sure you will find that the more experienced members will freely admit their fault in helping a thread get off topic. I specifically remember Ned, a forum elder, apologizing on several occasions for posting off-topic comments to other people's posts that were the true cause for the thread being closed.
Admin, AKA Percy, posted this explanation comparing forum rules to traffic laws a very long time ago. I think it will help answer some of the questions you may have including why some members can occasionally break some rules.
Don't worry about it. Give it some time and I'm sure your frustration will subside.
Notice the quote where RAZD himself uses the word "stupid" while not a single evolutionist jumps on him for it. But evolutionists are quick to accuse creationists in a heartbeat, oh yes.
You know, you could use this to your advantage

Here is something to relieve stress.
a + b = t
(a + b)(a - b) = t(a - b)
a - b = at - bt
a - at = b - bt
a - at + t/4 = b - bt + t/4
(a - t/2) = (b - t/2)
a - t/2 = b - t/2
a = b
Since all numbers are the same, math is useless.
