I phrased the answer incorrectly. The correct answer is, I don't know if I have a purpose or not. I may have a purpose and not know it.

I'm well aware of how this world works, there are no ethics that you can speak to me that I don't already know. There are no ethics that you could ever find that I don't already follow.
How does this post have nothing to do with the topic in this thread? you guys want to know about Mormons, so I'm here to share with you light. This is the only thread that I could have of interest. P.s. The Lord accepts no sins in moderation.

Ok, you're a good man.
What would you like your purpose to be? Armaggeddon

What would I like my purpose to be? What an unusual question. Something interesting, I would hope. And important. I would like to be important.

How does this post have nothing to do with the topic in this thread? you guys want to know about Mormons, so I'm here to share with you light. This is the only thread that I could have of interest. The issue is not whether anyone has a purpose or not. If you have something to say about the Mormon Church say it. But unless you can tie purpose into the Mormon Church, it is OFF TOPIC. I will be watching and I suggest you make a post that connects your line of questioning directly to the Mormon Church. A few years ago,I debated with LDS elders who insisted that confirmed remains of Nephite/Lamanite ruins had been discovered and artifacts were on display in the Smithsonian Institute. They said these ruins were in the present U.S.A. Subsequently, the LDS moved the location to Mexico and Central America, and at present, the sites are wandering around Peru. So many people were enquiring after the Smithsonian exhibit, that the Institute offered a series of statements denying any evidence of confirmed ruins and/or artifacts. While the last statement was issued in 1996 (AFAIK), the fact remains that the LDS pushed this line for a number of years.See the debate on the Smithsonian`s statement here

i asked my lds-ex-g/f once about the plates joseph smith translated, and if i could view them anywhere.
she said no, you'd have to be really high in the church elders to even see them. sounds fishy to me. if i don't like my bible translation, i can get a hebrew dictionary and look at the masoretic, or a greek dictionary and look at the septuagint. they're hardly secret documents.

The Plates were supposedly taken back. Only a very few people - all of them dead - have even claimed to have seen them as actual physical objects.
At this point I'm convinced that they never existed.

Not to wander too far afield, but the tablets given to Moses seem to have gone missing, too. quite. along with the ark of the covenant. ok, i guess i'll rephrase. there are innumerable intermediate steps in the path of the bible from it's origins (plural) until today. we have some of those steps, if not the first few. even if it's made up, it was made up by multiple people, and earlier versions and translations can at least be checked. with the bom, we're dealing with a single translation, by a single person. although part of the bible seem fishy indeed, there's something about the bom that seems ever more spurious, like it was made up recently.

Justice,
how many Gods are there, according to LDS teachings? "In life, you have to face that some days you'll be the pigeon and some days you'll be the statue."
