I agree with the Moose on this. If salty wanders back in on his own hook, that's one thing. Inviting him back is a whole 'nother story. Does anyone rationally expect him to actually address any of your points? A leopard cannot change its spots, except over evolutionary timescales...

Did He Have Any Support Here?
How about this, is there ANYONE out there who has ANY support for ANY of Salty's ideas. Maybe we should start a "Did you find any gold amid the dross" thread. OK, a little bit of a joke as well as a bad title; how about "Agreement with specific concepts within the Semi-meotic hypothesis" thread so that anyone who felt that any of Salty's ideas worth discussing has a place to hash them over in a real debate. Which the author would never do. ------------------ "Chance favors the prepared mind." L. Pasteur Taz

Re: Did He Have Any Support Here?
From message 3 of "John A. (Salty) Davison - The Case For Instant Evolution", quoting myself:
quote: While I'm not about to buy into Salty's efforts to completely overturn Darwinism, I wonder if his views might contain at least a grain of truth.
There were a few replies to this. Moose

I never said I was here to make things easier I think that Taz idea of a section where we look for "grains of truth" or anything relevant from Salty's ranting is adequate. However, if anyone comes across him on another board bragging about having been banned at EvC one can always point out that threads are available for him to participate in.

John A. Davison / Salty suspended
See message 170, at the "Junk DNA. Is our destiny already pre-programmed?" topic. In message 163 there, JAD/Salty said:

Re: John A. Davison / Salty suspended
Does it matter? When he was shown to be wrong, he did not respond or claimed he was right. When insulted, he claimed he was right. When he did not know anything about the subject he claimed to be right...otherwise, he thinks Grasse agrees with him and therefore he is right. Fed or unfed, his paranoia will grow.

Re: John A. Davison / Salty suspended
It's all well and fine to accuse Dr. Davison of paranoia, but you'd be paranoid too if you had both Governor Dean and Scott Page (not to mention the entire entrenched Darwinian scientific establishment) out to get you. Sure, fire away at him with all your "facts" and "research," but at least have the decency to admit that you're jealous of his international professional reputation. Have you ever had anything published in Rivista Escatologgia? Didn't think so. regards, Esteban Hambre PS. This will be my last post.

Re: John A. Davison / Salty suspended
When you attack me you attack the greatest minds that ever lived, Mo, Larry, Curly and the much ignored Schemp. Schemp would agree with me. I am here to expose the EvC crowd as not being the same as Terry at Talk Origins. I would crucify an atheist but I ran out of nails last week and am too lazy to buy more. Everything I say is supported in my papers in Revista de Tetas Grandes y Putas Sucias. I will leave you with a quote that summarizes your Darwinian conspiracy "Doh"-Homer J. Simpson
