I wonder who wins.

The Table
From across the table your brown eyes glisten, in the softness of the candlelight I close my eyes and listen.
I Listen to your clear words, I see your youthful face, And years from then I reflect upon that magic time and place.
You spoke of a inner saddness, of a longing and lonely pain. Of how you often felt the clouds, long before the rain.
You spoke of unfullfilled desires and a heart that is bound in fear, you touched my heart and made me love you through my unshed tears.
