Now, if you are this all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful being and you know that I am looking for you and you know that the only way I will be able to comprehend your message is if you present it on my terms, why is it somehow not your fault for failing to do so? Especially if you claim to be all-loving and pure compassion? You know how to do it, you are perfectly capable of doing it, and yet you don't. I think you hit the nail on the head with that post Rrhain (from the atheist point of view at least). Too many christians don't realise that they aren't really finding God they're just making him up and not really knowing, claiming he "directed their life" etc. etc.
I know because that's exactly what I did as a christian, and I realized that God isn't doing anything, my imagination that I unconsciously labeled "God" was doing the "directing".
However, when you tell a christian this they tell you that you never really had true faith to begin with anyway. Which leads me to believe
they are the ones who are actually lying to themselves and they are also the hard-headed ones. "True faith" being the catalyst... (which is funny because I knew that all along before I was "born again" but I ignored it.)
Not to say that believing in God is a bad thing, if it makes your life better then go for it. But, I don't like being lied to and I assume others don't as well, so that is the only reason I want to continue justifying my arguement that he doesn't exist. Also, I don't like to feel guilty and depressed for living doing the things that make me happy!
