You'd try to link Christianity to long-discredited falsehoods that in reality have nothing to do with Jesus' message ?
A nice try, but it doesn't seem to be working very well. Everyone thinks you're just another religious crank.

Re: Galileo Was Wrong...about circular planetary orbits
Your words as such do not really constitute a question. Rather they amount to an unproven assumption, and thereby an affirmation, disguised as a question; namely: If I am a scientist that knows geocentrism is the truth, and if I make that truth public, I will get rich and famous.
At least I have the benefit of knowing about the competition that has historically fueled advances in science. Darwin, Einstein, and Watson & Crick were all motivated by an urge to receive the tangible benefits of industry celebrity (perhaps in addition to a dedication to scientific progress). I have no reason whatsoever to think astronomers don't share this urge to become renowned for overturning centuries of scientific error.
However, I've never seen any evidence of the sort of improbably vast conspiracy of silence that would keep millions of astronomers and educators quiet about the obvious truth of geocentrism. Can you offer any reason for me to share your suspicion that Jesus-hatred has kept countless astronomers quiet for centuries?

But isn't it obvious that all astronomers - including those working at the Vatican Observatory - are dedicated to destroying Christianity and overthrowing the Catholic Church ?

Truly, the Vatican Observatory, and the last six or seven Popes for that matter, seem to have no desire to be Catholic. Aye there's the rub.

Dear Mr.Hambre,
Is there no such thing as hatred of Jesus Christ?
And is not the fact that such a thing exists self-evident for the average thinker?

Obviously this conspiracy is more diabolical than we can imagine.

Re: Galileo Was Wrong...about circular planetary orbits
Any thoughts on the mass of the sun being waaay too huge for it to revolve around the Earth? See Message 59.
Added by Edit:
In Message 72, JonF explains that some people think that the sun actually isn't that massive. They seem to be making that assessment based on some calculations of the gravitation pull on observations here on Earth.
We know that can't be the case, because we've actually sent a probe out to orbit the sun and make direct measurements. It turns out that the sun really is really freakin' huge. I mean, they had to send the probe around Jupiter just to get enough velocity to get up and over the sun.

gullible in gullible out
I've been very busy on a writing project. I've been studying the history of the helio/geo debate and have been looking at the evidences and experiments discussed in the GWW DVD set.
If one is not physics oriented (that be me) it is all-consuming.
So you are not educated in physics, but are self-teaching by only looking at material that conforms to your a priori beliefs, from someone who also is not a physicist, rather than actually learn real physics.
In other words you are not competent to judge if your electrical engineer is competent in what he says, but happily take it on faith.
Enjoy.

Re: gullible in gullible out
It's quite clear that Suzanne Romano has absolutely nothing to offer other than trying to market her religious beliefs and is simply incapable of doing or understanding what science is even about. Ger true agenda can be found by reading her own words:
SR writes:
Evolution posits that the observable and measurable created kinds are not immutable forms, but rather transitional forms, always in the process of becoming, and therefore never actually participating in true existence according to a true essence or nature.
from Message 12 which is just a mixture of falsehoods and word salad without any value or worth; and:
SR writes:
Understand that I believe that the universe is geocentric because the Scriptures say that the Sun moves and the Earth does not.
from Message 51 which is a clear admission that she is not interested in or doing science or concerned in any way with either reality or truth.

Some idiot posted a video on YouTube "demonstrating" that the Sun ls less massive than the Earth. Bob Sungenis, the leader of the geocentrist wackos, fell for it and praised it to the sky. Until somebody pointed out that it was risible nonsense.

Awww give her a chance! I respect Faith in part largely due to the fact that she has hung in there so long after being repeatedly dogpiled by others who preach the gospel of logic, reason, and reality. If Suzanne was as tough as Faith, she would fit in here quite nicely. Perhaps she would eventually learn to express her beliefs more in her own words and less cut & paste. Or perhaps she would become more like the way you want her to be---a critical thinker who supports reasoned argumentation with evidence.

Suzanne Romano is not as much the problem as promoting her religious faith only based nonsense in a Science forum. It is the moderation that is the issue.

Re: gullible in gullible out
I can live with that. You have a valid point. But where is there room for a creationist who thinks they are being scientific when they are not?
