Ben Bridges is an idiot.
First off, there are about three things in Cleveland, GA that are of any significance, two Jewish Summer Camps and Babyland General (anyone with a young daughter MUST make a pilgrimage to Babyland General while they are still young enough to enjoy it. Call ahead with your credit card information though.) While there though, also set aside time to visit Ruby Falls. Aslan is not a Tame Lion

“I am convinced that rather than risk teaching a lie why teach anything?” and there is a chance, that algebra could be proven bunk tomorrow. should we fail to teach that? people are so ridiculous.

X-posted on my lj... an open letter to Ben Bridges.
Dear Rep. Bridges, You found us out. Yes, we Jews are indeed attempting to sink our claw-like tendrils into every corner of the globe. Of course, this will involve spreading the dark spectre of our vampiric usury to every corner of your Christian god's America. And yes, this will almost certainly be accomplished by maintaining a stranglehold on the banks of New York and movie studios of Los Angeles. The Jewish Menace will most definitely program your children through financial control and intellectual brainwashing. You have to admit, when combined with mystic rites of Kabbalistic elders, it's a winning plan for world domination. But we will be benign masters. We only seek matzoh for our young, who will be fed by regurgitation as they fester in their larval sacks. Fucking twit. Sincerely,Dan Carroll "I know some of you are going to say 'I did look it up, and that's not true.' That's 'cause you looked it up in a book. Next time, look it up in your gut." -Stephen Colbert

I saw this story the other day and my forehead is still smarting from its repeated abusive contact with a wall.
How do these people get elected?? I have to agree that http://www.fixedearth.com is fascinating reading, but I have to do it in spurts. Not only does the subject make my face hurt from laughing and my brain hurt from twisting, but the constant change in font and color really makes my eyes hurt. Someone should let them know that color blocks around text is a dead giveaway for bullshit.

So Jews are like the Ra'zac in the Inheritance Trilogy?
Interesting.

How do these people get elected?? Elected? How do they have enough brains to breathe? Our Rep. Chisum seems to be backpedaling furiously, too - passing out this bullcrap to his fellow legislators without even looking at it, apparently. Wow.

Coragyps writes: Elected? How do they have enough brains to breathe? That would be assuming two things. Firstly, that brains are needed to be elected. Secondly, that they are needed to breathe. Neither of those are correct. (unless you are literal with your definition of "brains", and count the brainstem as part of it). "Der Mensch kann was er will; er kann aber nicht wollen was er will." www.fixedearth.com writes: Theoretical physicist Kaku lays the foundation, saying: “By unraveling the mystery of creation, a God-like power would be put into the hands of humans That is interesting, as it is precisely the claim made by the so-called 'creation or life scientists' of the post-science movement. What that means, or how it ties together, I have no idea. Anyway, I find the problem that the authors of this site have with an attempt to make a holy book fit into and explain science, pretty funny. Isn't it the same thing they are doing?

.. the so-called 'creation or life scientists' of the post-science movement. Who? I've no idea what you are referring to here. After science movement?
... an attempt to make a holy book fit into and explain science, pretty funny. It seems to me that those people (fixedearth) were attempting to force evidence to match their delusions of how the world operates, rather than seeing where the evidence leads. The difference between them and creationists is in degree rather than kind of forcing\delusion involved. It will be interesting to see how any YEC proponent could draw a line and say those people are delusional, but their view of a young earth is rational. compare Fiocruz Genome and fight Muscular Dystrophy with Team EvC! When you're delusional, logic doesn't really matter. Nor do hilarious contradictions. So they'll be able to safely denounce the flat-earth delusion and still accept their young-earth delusion, w/o being bothered by the contradiciton and/or failure of logic.
