Re: For Brennakimi
i think it's a simpler answer for them to have both spoken latin.
but of course the bible is silent on this question.

Brian, Can this be kept?
Hi Brian-
Great work! I've seen many good investigations like this fade away over time, since message boards are impermanent. So I was happy to see a wiki be set up for Biblical errancy. It is just starting, but has a lot of potential. It's at:
Errancy Wiki
Do you mind if I put your first post in at the appropriate three verses? Thanks-
Equinox

Barabbas, Jesus
Truthlover in msg 3 writes:
Two, it seemed odd to me with all that work that no one pointed out Barabbas' name. Part of the reason that Genesis one reads like an allegory is because the couple's names are Man and Life. If I'm not mistaken, Barabbas must be "Bar" and "Abba" with the final -s just being the standard masculine singular nominative ending. "Bar" is son, and "Abba" is father. The switch is "son of the father" for "Son of the Father" in allegory.
And wasn't Barabbas's first name Jesus? Jesus Barabbas (Son of the Father), what's up with that? What's the significance there? Pretty weird to me...

Re: Brian, Can this be kept?
Thanks Brian! The page for Mark 15:6 was the natural place to put it, since Mark was the first Gospel (chronologically, not canonically), and 15:6 is the first mention of this. So, feel free to check out the page now:
Mark 15:6 - Errancy Wiki
I also updated the other related pages to reference that one. You know, you are certainly welcome to help contribute to the wiki if you have other thoughts or essays like that. Literally billions of dollars and many billions of hours are spent by Christians to advance the Bible, while very little is devoted to investigating it critically. At any rate, have a fun day-
Equinox

Brian is too busy grabbing life by the balls, or something of that sort, to bother with books, which are tiresome things.
I think he told me something like that.

Books aren't tiresome things, they are part of grabbing life by the balls!
If you find books tiresome then you must be reading the wrong books, I love spending a day in the library surrounded by piles of open books.
Brian.
