The Blue division will see US, Canada and the Iroquois Nation competing, while the Danes may be the big dark horse in the Yellow Division but Bermuda may be the real surprise.
US has to open against Australia though.

Oh Yeah?
You actually think that the Hopkins could EVER beat the Old Men of the Mountains?
The Hopkins was always a challenging tune up for Gilman and St. Paul's High Schools before they made the trek up to Long Island to humilate Hofstra and Sewanhaka.
But can the US win their division against Canada and the Iroquois Nation?

Re: Oh Yeah?
no, but that doesn't keep me from dreaming... of course, that was all college pride talking... about the only pride i have in hopkins actually... except our lacrosse is going downhill, either way... i hear tell hopkins beat canada in an olympic exhibition game in 1932... but yeah, wishful fancy

Re: Oh Yeah?
The Hopkins ain't all that bad. There is a little hotel on the corner of University and N. Charles IIRC that had a great restuarant.
And I think the Hopkins did pretty good this year. In fact the general level of the game seems to be increasing everywhere, even though the new sticks look funny.

Re: Oh Yeah?
and while i was not there, i hear tell from many sources that the goalie from an opposing game scored on us... in an exhibition match? anyway... yeah... going downhill
even if the Colonade has a decent restaurant, that is... the only good place to eat in walking distance... of anything
Edited by AlienInvader, : to address restaurant

Re: Oh Yeah?
there was a pretty good little deli about a block west of it too IIRC.
But Homewood ain't that bad. 'Course since they moved the stadium it's harder to get to an O's game.
As to the goalie scoring on the Hopkins, that's just the Gilman influence. The big question is "Did the goalie score from his own crease or did he have to cross the midfield line to get a clear shot?"

Re: Day two
Tomorrow will be Us (2-0) vs Canada (2-0) and as I predicted, the Danes are the surprise of the event so far. They too are 2-0.
