Is it me? Since the new topic screening process, there appears to have been a major shift towards posting to, coffee house, free for all, suggestions and questions etc. (topics with no screening process). It seems that the new topic screening process has caused posters (probably unintentionally) to somewhat steer away from the main topics and towards the unscreened topics.
For instance, about half the recent posts were to the unscreened topics (unless I just picked a bad time to do a bean count).

Unscreened
And we all have the choice to "change the channel" and ignore the unscreened topics. When a really meaty issue is raised then invite someone to a more controlled thread.

Re: Unscreened
Well, thats not really the problem as I see it Ned. I'm wondering if the screening process may be an imposition to people that don't want to go through the process so they may be using the unscreened topics instead.
I could be wrong, but it appears that the unscreened topics are getting heavier traffic (I only just thought about it today, so I don't have a good sampling of data). I'm just questioning the efficacy of the system is all.

Re: Unscreened
If that is the case, what is the problem. There is a screened process where we can count on the mods looking over our topic, making suggestions to improve it and a second pair of eyes for proofing. Or there is the unscreened area where we can just wing and fling.
Sounds like the best of all worlds to me.

Re: Unscreened
It may well be getting heavier traffic. As jar points out we have two fora in one. What a bargooon!

Re: Unscreened
I hope my response to Nasa in his new thread is an example of how to handle the attempt to skip the screening.
I do not think anyone should engage him in an unmoderated thread. His OT is an example of the junk that moderation is intended to avoid.

Re: Unscreened
Just don't engage him at all. They gave up trying to engage him at CreationTalk, because none of his posts made any sense.

Re: Unscreened
Ya, just ignore Nasa and his kind if they want to bypass the screening process. Afterall, his most recent thread is a load of crackpot bullpoop nonsense. If people would just ignore such a thread, then we wouldn't have crackpots like Nasa trying to evade the real issues.

Re: Unscreened
No, you were right too. I've seen this same attempt at rationalization for a creator dozens of times on other boards. It's old hat stuff. All it says is that somebody did a lot of research into the details of physiology and physics...it does nothing to prove the existance of a creator.

Satan & weather
I just recently read a blurp that Satan was the controller of weather on earth. Is this true and where is Scripture to back it up?
Hi Christa, this question has nothing to do with the topic on this thread. New topics like this should go through our Proposed New Topic forum. I am moving this to our Miscellaneous forum - The Queen

Re: Satan & weather
Job 1:9-12, 19 "Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath... But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee ...And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand ... And behold, there came a great wind ...and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell ...."
Also, God made the flood, plagues etc....
It seems the weather is In Gods control according to scripture. However, I don't believe in God much less satan. The weather is strictly under the control of nature and all it's associated atmospheric conditions and phonemena.
