Someone suggested I start a thread to look at the evidences and lack of evidence available that tell us the core has to be hot.
Man knows little about the interior of the earth, and what we think we know is indirect.
For example, seismic waves, and density etc.
My opinion from the bible is that the interior, or foundation of the earth is not like the surface, and not subject to natural laws.
In fact, it is said to house spirits.
Yes, there is a lot of heat below the surface, but how far that really extends is theory. Theory based on assuming that the same laws have to apply down there.
If we stop assuming a big bang, and some chaotic explosion type origin of the earth, we lose any need for heat to start with.
If we have no long ages, and uniform laws that apply to the interior, we have no reasons to assume great heat either. So, all the heat claims are based on unknowns, it seems to me.
The surface of the earth is not going to last forever, according to the bible, but the foundations, or interior is. That makes them different.
I challenge anyone to show otherwise.
