Re: accuracy
Yes salty...you should have fun at ARN...they also don't know anything about science and require no evidence for their assertions...the typical "evidence of ID is everywhere" drivel that they (and you) post there is similar to the alcoholic swearing that the pink elephant he sees is real....
Unless you will stun us now with the first ever evidence of ID?

Re: Incredible
By the way - did you realize that you had incorrectly described meiosis in your manifesto?
This was pointed out on ARN. I'm sure you will find a nice home there....

Um, wouldn't the "manifestation" of design be, um, evidence?
So, how do we tell the difference between an ID system and a natural one that we don't currently understand or that we do not have the intelligence to understand?

Re: Incredible
That is part of the reason why I posted message 84 with a link to a site that had a description of meiosis including a lot of drawings and animations...to see if salty would look at it and attempt to argue that his version of what does or can occur during meiosis is correct and that what everyone else learned is false.
Salty blew it off and has most likely retreated to Terry's site and ARN to mumble into his beer as I believe Mr. Pamboli described it...but the bet is still running that he posts before Saturday
new bet...his post will be short, off topic, contentless, and full of rightous indignation.

OOPS! I GOOFED!
In an earlier post, in response ot Davison's claim that he is an "experimentalist", I indicated that he has done no research since 1984.
Doing a double-check of his CV, I see that, in fact, the last paper which appears (giving the benfit of the doubt by reading only the title) to have been based on actual experimentation/research came out in 1976, a full 27 years ago.
That Davison did not bother to correct the rroneous date - making it seem as though he had done lab work for an additional 8 years, is very telling...

I chekced out ARN, and see no sign of him yet. Funny thing is, as I mentioned, every person with science credentials that took part in the threads in which 'semi-meiosis' or the manifesto is mentioned found tons of flaws. The only folks that found any merit in it are the usual uneducated "anything but Darwinism" fools such as mturner and Bertvan.
No wonder Davison would like it there - it is a lot like Terry's den of simpletons.

Re: Incredible
I think Salty is posting over at ARN, looks like he is using the moniker "nosivad". Sounds like him anyway.
Cheers !

Re: Incredible
Yes, I found that shortly after I had made my last post.
Looks like he is fishing for compliments, and even the resident YEC (vividbleu) isn't giving him the time of day...

Re: Take 4/11
I hope this time next year I am not sitting next to him muttering in my beer!
I haven't wandered into the Aragon yet, but I had a chinese meal at the restaurant across the road from it a few weeks ago.
Do you want me to grab you any Aragon memorabilia?
Brian

Dan, do not worry about it. Salty attacks everyone who does not immediately bow down to his obviously superior model of evolution. I actually read some of his papers and tried to ask him some questions based on the addmitedly minimal amount of information in them and he gave me pretty much the same response. I have given him up as useless. The sad thing is that some of the ideas form his references (ie Goldschmidt, and Schindewolf) are interesting.

Notice that he also wrote "From: University of Vermont, Burlington, VT". The implication of course being that he is still associated with the university.

old Jackie gets in on the idiocy
Jazzraptor on ARN:
"Hi nosidav:
I enjoyed reading "Ontogeny, Phylogeny and the Origin of Biological Information." I note that the information for ontogeny is at least partially contained within the genome. Do you have a suspicion regarding the location of the information store for phylogeny? "
I guess Jazz did not realize that Salty does not actually say anything about the origin of bioloigcal information in his paper titled "Ontogeny, Phylogeny and the Origin of Biological Information" except to say that it was already there, which is to say absolutely nothing about its origin.

Re: Incredible
Though I am not familiar with the cast of characters at ARN, the link you posted shows salty being taken to task for having been an irresponsible professor for neglecting his duties to teach evolution. Pixie (who I gather is a creationsit or IDist as she says she sympathizes with salty's position) is really ripping into him about it...given that his posts are identical to his initial posts at EvC..it is only a matter of time before he goes into a tantrum
It seems the guy cannot find the hero worship he so craves...anywhere.
