Message 1 is very specific on the direction of the topic.
Why is homosexuality immoral?
I understand that "the Bible says so". The Bible also says don't cut your beard.
One can easily make an argument for why murder or theft or rape are immoral without having to rely on a "Bible says so" type statement.
What would be the non-literalist argument for why homosexuality is immoral?
This is not a general discussion of homosexuality. Discussion of same sex marriage and homosexual rights are really off topic.
Please get back to the topic.

Re: Calling Out Nemesis Juggernaut
Lots of 'SEX ACT's have legal status, otherwise how could there be so many laws prohibiting specific 'SEX ACT's? I'm not sure what that has to do with gay marriage however.

Look ...when to speak the name of Jesus in the vicinity of a homosexual is considered "hate speech" ... There is heap-plenty evil at work!

Re: Botrh sides of bigotry
The state of "MARRIAGE" originated with God and established the guidelines according to His Will...Who are you to tell God ...He got it WRONG...and because you want a veil of respectability for degenerate behavior...you seek to change the laws to validate an already unholy union...shameful!

Attraction and Lust are opposite sides of the same coin...the first feeds the second...and as the Ex-Governor of NJ said... he just couldn't wait to have anonymous sex in truck stops with as many men as he could...once he came out and accepted who he was. Aren't you just proud of his bravery and to his dedication to exercising fruits of discovery?

Re: Botrh sides of bigotry
Get a load of you...here you are ...Mr. Progressive...defending the rights of those who participate in the deviant sex acts he "approves" of...and in the same breath...denies a fellow degenerate... "Sheep-man" ... his equal rights...who are you? Who died and put you in charge of putting the stamp of approval on which degenerate act are acceptable or not?

Re: Both sides of bigotry
You're right. Heterosexuality, homosexuality, bestiality, bigamy, incest, fucking your stamp collection”nothing I can think of should be banned from marriage. But it's a moot point. Any two hermit crabs of either sex could get married on Animal Planet, if the producers decided to hold ceremonies. "Marriage" is an ambiguous term”you can have a marriage between two 2x4s. It's the "civil union" part that matters. If gays want to join in civil unions, let them. If they want to call themselves "married," let them. Let every one and every thing get married in whatever kind of place they choose. But let's not give civil-union rights to amorous pets and farm animals, or to other sexual persuasions that have no socially redeeming value.
[Oh!! really...an what is socially redeeming about homosexuality?]
The government should get out of the marriage business altogether. Just stick with civil-unions. I think the idea of civil-unions for gays has socially redeeming value. And I think that when gays demand that their civil unions be called "marriages" is clear evidence that they are more interested in coming out of the closet than in joining the ranks of reasonable people.
[You know when supposed adults lack that ability to converse without regurgitating their street filth in a public forum...is a clear indication of an even greater lack of basic civilities ... ergo one is given even clearer insight as to the familiar origins from whence they've come...Tragic]

You?
Why should I believe you?

Who are you to speak for God?
