Please cite some scriptures...no, just one scripture that is false in the bible.
Joshua writes:
And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
This is a story, a legend a myth. Is it false? It depends on what you mean by false. Are legends and myths false?
This event certainly implies an incomplete understanding of cosmology if nothing else.
However, if it were true, it definitely would require the suspension of a multitude of known and consistent physical laws. It would have been one of the grandest divine interventions in the affairs of humans that has ever been recorded including the flood, all the miracles of Christ and the alleged divine reaction at the point Christ's death which was relatively mild by comparison.
Compare the tearing of the temple curtain and the darking of the sky for a few hours to the stopping of the rotation of the earth and the independent orbit of the moon. And all this to what avail? So that the children of Israel could continue with slaughter and retribution?
If you believe this is true then you must believe the God works his best works when it involves slaughter and genocide.
