One stumbles across these people on the internet from time to time, I thought I'd give them their own thread.
Here's my first loony:
The laws of logic, reflecting the mind of Jesus Christ, the personification of the law of excluded middle, enable the expression of the experience and numbers(Fleeming Jenkin) the ratiocination about the measurement: numbers and the laws of logic cannot be experienced nor measured, preventing Mnchhausen infinite regress and Descartian vicious circularity of logic, mind and metaphor. From the premise that Information is only expressed and not acquired(Adaptation) we experience not matter but the Berkeleyan imposition of our volitionalism on matter. Do not allow semiotic necromancers(Natural Selection) to foist their Nietzsche anti-Platonic Orwellian thinking on mankind and dissolve the symbiotic relationship of syntax to logic, the substance of our volitionalistic language. Natural selection is a Claim of logic and not a mechanism , which is the Darcy Thompson Composite Integrity(Behe's IC) nexus between complexity, redundancy, functionality and aesthetics. Calvinism violates the law of excluded middle. - Logical_fallacies
Jesus Christ is the personification of the law of the excluded middle? Boy, I know how that feels --- I myself am the living incarnation of the modus ponens.

Well, he's got words.

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
"God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.

Doesn't anyone else find him reminiscent of Brad McFall? I think it's the arbitrary name-dropping of biologists and philosophers that does it.

Re: Encyclopedia of American Loons
Whilst browsing through the Encyclopedia of American Loons, I came across a baraminologist who's actually willing to put her money where her mouth is and identify the kinds. She's only done the mammals so far, but estimates that there are 137 extant mammal kinds (excluding cetaceans and sirenians, since they wouldn't need to go on the ark so aren't being considered), with maybe as many extinct kinds represented in the fossil record.
So, there is indeed a single cat kind and a single dog kind, but she gives some actual notice to taxonomy, and settles on 18 different bat kinds. Looking at the primate kinds, it seems that 'kind' corresponds exactly with 'family'. She hasn't, apparently, been informed that the Callitrichidae family has recently been resurrected, so marmosets are the same kind as capuchins. Oh, and she doesn't buy humans being placed with the other great apes, because "given the significant differences between us and apes compared to some of the differences between other families, this seems ludicrous."

Fake Plastic Snow
It is rare to be present at the birth of a new piece of stupidity. Most of it is recycled again and again until it gets hard for me to shut out the voices in my head telling me to kill ... sorry, TMI.
Anyway, this week has seen the advent of a brand new idiocy. Fake Plastic Government Snow. It's been falling in Georgia. People are upset. Mainly the sort of people who were already "upset".
WINNING369 - Situs Slot Online Pagcor Terpercaya 2022 - IDN POKER
http://beforeitsnews.com/...-falling-in-the-usa-2886758.html
To summarize, if you hold a lighter or lit match to a piece of this new snow, it turns black, proving that the snow is made of plastic and not that burning dirty fuels produces particulates. Also the snow doesn't melt quite like whackaloons think it should. So. All very suspicious.

Re: Encyclopedia of American Loons
I came across a baraminologist who's actually willing to put her money where her mouth is and identify the kinds.
I saw this a while ago and laughed my head off.
From the "scientific process" of Determining the Ark Kinds:
quote:
A cognitum is a group of organisms that are naturally grouped together through human cognitive senses. A cognitum can be above the level of the baramin (for example, mammals), below the level of the baramin (for example, foxes), or at the level of the baramin. This perception-based concept was proposed by Sanders and Wise (2003) as a separate tool in baraminology. Though not originally proposed as a means to identify baramins, the basic concept could prove useful for our purposes here. Use of this method assumes that created kinds have retained their distinctiveness even as they have diversified.
...
From looking at these animals or pictures of them, they are easily grouped together by human cognitive senses. Their division into separate families is based on more subtle details, and most people would not naturally split them into these groupings unless they were familiar with the taxonomy of these animals.
And even more silly is their source of data (at least in some cases)
quote:
In addition to drawing on personal experience and training, published works describing and illustrating various taxa will be used. A valuable resource for this will be the University of Michigan Museum of Zoology’s Animal Diversity Web website (ADW 2008), which contains numerous photographs covering many animal species.
ABE: so this is how the cognitum works:

Ignorance is a most formidable opponent rivaled only by arrogance; but when the two join forces, one is all but invincible.

Re: Fake Plastic Snow
Holy shit, Doc! From your second link:
I have been praying against chemtrails and asking GOD ALMIGHTY to blow them away from my neighborhood, my city, my county, my state and also the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
The Blood of Jesus Christ is MORE powerful than chemtrails, so I also pray for the protection of HIS Blood over my city and area.
I have called people in my state in government to tell them to stop the spraying of chemtrails, but I still see it being done. It is going to take ALL OF US IN THE USA TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST CHEMTRAILS AND FOR ALL OF US BOMBARDING HEAVEN WITH PRAYER TO STOP THE WICKED MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE DOING THIS TO OUR PRECIOUS PLANET AND SKIES, PEOPLE, ANIMALS AND VEGETATION.
GOD IN HEAVEN, JESUS CHRIST, FATHER GOD, PLEASE HEAR MY CRY AND HELP US AND STOP THE EVIL WICKED MONSTERS WHO ARE SPRAYING CHEMTRAILS OVER ALL OF US IN JESUS’ NAME.
I AM MAKING COPIES OF FLYERS AND COPIES OF THE DVDS TO GIVE TO PEOPLE SO NO ONE WILL HAVE AN EXCUSE THAT THEY DON’T KNOW AND THOSE WHO ARE BOLD WILL SPEAK OUT AND PRAY.
GOD BLESS YOU MICHAEL AND ALL THOSE WHO ARE WORKING WITH YOU TO EXPOSE SATAN AND THE EVIL WHO ARE DOING THIS TO ALL OF US!
SHALOM.
WITH MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT,
MONIQUE
PS. CHIVALRY IS STILL VERY MUCH ALIVE!!

"The Christian church, in its attitude toward science, shows the mind of a more or less enlightened man of the Thirteenth Century. It no longer believes that the earth is flat, but it is still convinced that prayer can cure after medicine fails." H L Mencken

Hold on there, Coragyps. You know she's right, don't you? Them chemtrails are down right poisonous. OK, the white stuff is just water vapor, the precipitate. But what poisonous chemicals spewing from the engine is the seed for the precipitation?
If you had this stuff pointed into your bedroom you would die. OK, so you die because your house just got blown away with you in it but analogies are not always perfect.
The point is they are spewing poisons into our atmosphere in order to make money! I can understand why she would see Satan in this, after all he is a republican.
Now if indeed the blood of Jesus can affect this poison then I'm all for gutting the guy and ... I guess fly his blood up there and spray it around. Use one of those B-52s with the 8 engines so you can start up real high and cover more area.
I would suggest somewhere in the bible belt. Maybe along the Red River. Some gets in Oklahoma and some in Texas. If some gets in the river, hey, it's already red so no one will notice.
You're not far from that area as I recall, unless you have to drive or walk. Anyway, with a bit of a breeze and some luck you could wind up with some god corpuscles in your yard.
