Re: >>>>>>Father Ian<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
The only impression I get is you and your ilk tend to be quite rude when somebody does not share your belief system, even someone such as jar is not immune to your preaching and he is a believer.
The OP from phat was put forth, I assume, for people to share their belief or lack there of and how that came to be, unfortunately they have to listen to your belittling attitude and I think that just puts people off, making it less likely they will comment on what they believe for fear of these attacks.
Your not the only one but I’ve read plenty of your messages and you really take offence to others who attack your beliefs, so why the double standards?

Time will tell how you deal with probing into your own belief system. "You and your ilk" indicates the initial rumblings of what the future holds.
even someone such as jar is not immune to your preaching and he is a believer.
You never seen Jar preach? Keep your eyes peeled for his signature "it really is as simple as that".
making it less likely they will comment on what they believe for fear of these attacks.
Evc is awash with people expressing their belief systems. I detect little by way of fear.
Your not the only one but I’ve read plenty of your messages and you really take offence to others who attack your beliefs, so why the double standards?
Defending ones view rigorously is not the same as taking offence. The degree with which I defend often reflects the intensity of 'attack'.
And its something that swings both ways

I think you meant "vigorously" - not "rigorously". The lack of rigor is pretty obvious to everybody.

Perhaps. But you can kill more flies with vinegar than you can with honey.
The gospel is about killing people Phat - surely you know that.

Well, well, it's the hoity-toity Father Ian, after all!
That's another piece (along with the "hard gospel" :rolleyes of that somethin' else (we often call it bull, here) that draws flies.
I've already paid my respects to Ringo's classy pun (and telling charge) in POTM, Iano, where I also noted your good humored reply: I guess you used that up in one shot. Too bad.
Ta.

I could argue this point, if just for practice.
